病因/發病機理

Cause & Pathogenesis

• 在泌乳牛中引起急性高度傳染性乳房炎

Cause of acute highly contagious mastitis in dairy cows

• 快速傳播至牛的各個住處（？）和關節（全身階段）

Rapidly spreads to all quarters and joints of cows (Systemic phase)

• 將會從感染的牛奶傳染給牛犢引起肺炎和關節炎

Will spread to calves from infected milk causing pneumonia and arthritis
危險因素

Risk Factors

• 牛群中引進攜帶病原的牛只

Introduction of carrier cows into herd

• 使用普通乳房炎的注射器

Use of common mastitis syringe tube

• 臨床癥狀
  Clinical Findings
• 可能爆炸性爆發

May be explosive outbreaks

• 引起嚴重乳房炎—牛奶呈黃褐色至棕色水樣，有可以浮動的沙樣絮片

Causes severe mastitis – milk watery tan-brown with sandy flakes that float

• 仍有食欲                    Cows continue to eat
• 治療無效                    No response to treatment
• 用標準的方法培養牛奶陰性Negative milk cultures using standard methods

• 牛群爆發涉及多數地方  Herd outbreak involving multiple quarters
• 治療無效                    No response to treatment
• 可涉及關節                May involve joints

預防

Prevention & Control

• 對所有牛只做系列培養，陽性淘汰

Serial culture all cows and cull

• 治療乳房炎時，單獨應用注射器

Use individual tubes for treating mastitis

• 不要給牛犢喂已感染的牛奶

Do not feed infected milk to calves
