初秋養牛注意三點
搭好棚 選四周通風的高地搭一個遮陽棚，供牛安全度秋，待氣溫下降再舍飼。
選好塘 牛在天氣悶熱時體熱散發困難，易引起中暑，應讓牛在深水塘中臥水降溫，每天3～4次。黃牛不喜臥水，高溫時可往牛體上潑水，以降低體溫。
熏好煙 白天牛虻喜在陽光下叮咬牛體，應把牛拴在牛棚內或陰涼處。晚上在拴牛處的上風頭用辣蓼草、黃荊子、艾蒿等加干草、鋸末點火熏煙，以防蚊蟲叮咬。熏煙的地方要與牛體保持一定距離，以免牛體感到燙熱。
