WinFeed is a Windows-based feed formulation program that has been used by nutritionists and students of nutrition for many years. Version 1 was a stand-alone program that contained many features available only in a true Windows environment. Experience with this successful version of WinFeed identified several opportunities for development and improvement, and an upgraded version, WinFeed 2.0 is now available. WinFeed 1.0 is no longer available, and will not be supported now that the new version is available. Features of the updated version include: - Full 32-bit Windows environment, for printing, cutting and pasting, etc.
- New technology based on the Microsoft SQL database manager.
- No limit to the number of nutrients or ingredients that may be included in the matrix.
- Ability to define the nutrient contents of each ingredient in terms of other nutrients.
- Ability to create new nutrients in terms of other nutrients.
- Automatic switching between digestible and total amino acid contents.
- Digestibilities may be defined for any number of classes of animals.
WinFeed 2.0 will be sold as a stand-alone program, and as an integral part of our Growth Models and our Optimisation Routines, as a means of passing the required information regarding dietary nutrient contents from a feed formulation program to these models.
